In weblogs we watched a documentry on BBC radio 1 although i aint a fan of them i prefer northsound myself i noticed that alot of work goes into the making of radio 1 shows they have to plan what songs are played at the right times the only have a set amount of times a day they can play 35 popular chart hits a day so they have to choose wisely for the audience.

jo whiley 10AM till 12:45PM Newsbeat till 1PM
Edith Bowman 1PM till 4PM
Sara Cox 4PM till 7PM Newsbeat at 5:45PM
Zane Lowe 7PM till 9PM
Club DJ's 9PM till 10PM (a different DJ everyday Throughout the week)
Colin Murray 10PM till 12AM

They also have the live lounge were artist's can perform live tracks on air. most of the music on radio one during the day is chart orientated but when Zane Lowe's Show starts the music is more specialised from Rock to RnB
